Accepted an invitation to give a public lecture on “Rumi and Excessive love in Islamic Mysticism” on December 2nd, 2010, as part of Lehigh University Humanities Center’s 2010-11 signature lecture series on the topic of “Excess”.
Elected to the Steering Committee of the Islamic Mysticism section of the American Academy of Religion.
Serves on the Advisory Council of the international journal “Mawlana Rumi Review”.
