The Study of Religion

Our faculty specialize in Buddhist Studies, Judaic and Christian Studies, Hinduism, Islam, Religion and Conflict, Contemplative Studies, and Religions in America.

Graduate Program

The department offers a Master’s Degree and a Graduate Certificate in Religious Studies. The M.A. program is designed for students intending to pursue a Ph.D. degree, or those interested in the terminal M.A. degree.
The Certificate Program is for students currently working towards a graduate degree in another discipline, or professionals seeking vocational certification.


Deadline for fall admission: June 1.

Deadline for spring admission: December 1
